In my previous post I had a photo of bowl which I thought needed a lid. Here it is:

After that one I made a couple of more lids:

very comfortable to hold. Didn’t try to use it yet. It was fun to make.

I haven’t visited my blog for a while and that is because I have no photos to share. The reason is I am now in a furniture workshop attempting to make a small cabinet. The way things are going I might have a photo around next Christmas.

In the meantime I have been playing with the scroll saw and I came up with this one:

I think this one is in need of lid.

First long weekend in October is the Woodcraft guild ACT exhibition opportunity. That is the only one where furnitures are on display. My table might find its way there.

The little treasures I have put in the wood kiln with not much confidence but a lot of hope came out quite beautiful. For your judgment:

The annual event of wood firing is happening this month. Last weeks packing (the dwarfs among the giants are mine) and the fire in the kiln yesterday. The big reveal is next weekend. Stay tuned……

I will have stall at the new venture of the shop at the National Museum of Australia. Market day this Sunday 7th May from 9am – 2pm. Please come visit me if you are around. Some to the pots I will have there for sale.

The market will have lots of stalls, food, music and pop up fashion. Promises to be fun day.

The month before the annual communal wood firing is my busiest month in the year. I have made a few new vessels inspired by my visit to the Israel Museum last time I visited Jerusalem. A few images of the vessels that inspired me and a few image of the vessel that came from under my hands.

A week before Chanuka the Jewish community was invited to light the Chanukia candles at Parliament house.

It was so windy it is another Chanuka miracle they actually managed to light them.
